MAZURKRAEMER is a boutique law firm specializing in business, bankruptcy, and financial transactions and commercial litigation. We concentrate on counseling middle market companies and non-profits at every stage of the business cycle. We also represent individuals in restructuring their debts.
MAIN Areas of practice include:
- Corporate: corporate transactions, which includes M&A, employment and real estate matters Commercial Restructuring: commercial bankruptcy and restructuring and tax workout. MAZURKRAEMER represents the interests of any party in a distressed context or bankruptcy (Chapter 7 and 11), including not only debtors but also unsuspecting creditors now entangled in the matter.
- Consumer Bankruptcy/Home Retention: We help ordinary people in distressed financial situations including Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and/or mortgage modification.
- Commercial litigation.
- Collections: Aggressively help creditors both individuals and businesses, collect debt which they are owed. We are experienced in all aspects of litigation - from demand letters to filing a Complaint in Civil Action, to obtaining a judgment, to executing on that judgment.
- Italian Dual Citizenship Legal Assistance. We assist applicants who are applying for dual citizenship and encounter issues with vital records that they need the U.S. Court system to address.
MAZURKRAEMER brings its diverse business skillset to the table to consult clients with respect to not only legal decisions but also operations, finance, marketing, and merchandising. We offer guidance re: startup, corporate governance, litigation prevention, wind-down, debt collection practices, business succession/exit-planning, and social media strategy.
Clients include individuals, entrepreneurs, startups, and small to middle-market businesses as well as financial institutions. Acting similar to part-time in-house counsel, MAZURKRAEMER often counsels clients daily in a broad range of capacities to prevent or resolve legal or business disputes and to help consummate business transactions. We aggressively collect debts on behalf of our clients and prosecute and defend business litigation.

MAZURKRAEMER generally bills by the hour against replenishable retainers, which must be replenished at the end of each month. If retainers are not replenished, MAZURKRAEMER will discontinue work until retainers are paid. We adhere to very strict client payment policies. Depending on the project, in addition to the billable hour option, MAZURKRAEMER may charge flat fees where appropriate, i.e., “value billing.” We accept credit cards to pay retainer and outstanding bills.
MAZURKRAEMER’s primary office is located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, PA, 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, 25 minutes to the Pittsburgh Airport and 1 hour to Wheeling, WV and 1 hour to Morgantown, WV. All of us work remotely but come together for lunches, corporate events, and monthly in-person working days. MAZURKRAEMER also shares an office space in New York, New York and an office location in Weirton, WV.
