An event for entrepreneurs will be held on Thursday February 6th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM  in the First State Capitol, 1413 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV.  The event is presented by the West Liberty University Center for Entrepreneurship and theWheeling Academy of Law and Science.  This program will provide the essentials for a business start-up and will host experts in the fields of business, law, social media, marketing, and accounting in order to answer questions first hand.  Many of the tips given will be applicable to owners of existing small-businesses.  Immediately following the program there will be a Mardi Gras-themed social with hors d’oeuvres, local beverages and special music and entertainment.Please RSVP by January 31 to Dr. Carrie White at 304-336-8159 or cwhite@westliberty.edu.  Scholarships for the program are available for students and for the first 20 people who register early! This is a $99 value – so register soon!  For a complete schedule of events, please see below.Intellectual Capitol is a small-business incubator and was formed through a partnership between the Wheeling Academy of Law and Science and West Liberty University's Center for Entrepreneurship with the purpose to promote business growth in the Wheeling, WV area.  Its mission is to incubate graduates and mentor them with their business goals with the aim of launching WLU alumni into self-sustaining local businesses by providing technology and office needs and assisting with business planning, funding sources, and locating clients.  Once participants complete the initial start-up phase, the business will need to move on to make space for a new start-up.
